My Vintage Wedding

Our wedding will be in March 2010 in Bethesda, MD.  To be honest, the selection of the "where" was an easy process for us...we saw our reception venue...loved it...saw the ceremony location...loved it.  It was a wrap!  So without further ado...

Our Ceremony Venue...Introducing...River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation

I love this church!  It reminds me of a lodge in the woods.  My favorite aspect is the giant window facing the woods.  I really wanted an outdoor wedding, but got nervous about the idea of having an outdoor wedding in March.  This lovely place gives me the opportunity to have an outdoor wedding inside.  LOVE IT!

Our Reception Venue...Introducing...Glen Echo Park!

Glen Echo Park began in 1891 as a National Chautauqua Assembly and operated as an amusement park until 1968. Now, the park hosts an arts education program and is also known for its antique carousel, its Spanish Ballroom, and its historic electric street car and annual Washington Folk Festival.

We went to Glen Echo before we got engaged and talked about how cool it would be to have our wedding there.  When we did get in engaged, we looked at one other place and then back to Glen Echo and knew right away it was the place for us.  It is laid back, fun, unique, classic, vintage and bright...that is exactly what we wanted for our reception.
